Honoured Art Worker and expert Ziyadkhan Aliyev's book 'A Lone Warrior' reflects the life and work of the talented artist Zakir Huseynov. The artist, who devoted twenty of the forty-nine years of his life to the realm of painting, contrib uted hugely to the modern stage of Azerbaijan's fine art, thereby immortalising his name in the history of painting. Zakir Huseynov painted in various genres and enriched each of them with unique artistic and aesthetic merit. His works combined tradition and modernity, national and international customs of art and the glory of his art spread beyond our national borders long ago. His paintings are now part of the rich legacy of Azerbaijani art. The book throws light on each stage of Zakir's creative path and contains coloured illustrations of his paintings.
