The Presidential Library has prepared a virtual exhibition dedicated to the rich legacy of Ahmad bey Agaoglu, a prominent figure in the history of Azerbaijani social thought and a distinguished publicist, jurist, orientalist scholar, and educator.
The virtual exhibition comprehensively reflects Ahmad bey Agaoglu’s socio-political, scholarly, and journalistic activities, his services to the national awakening movement, his ideas on modernization, and his contributions to the development of Azerbaijani social thought. It also provides extensive insight into the prominent role played by the thinker in the formation of national statehood consciousness, the development of an environment of free thought, and the spread of modernization trends throughout the Muslim East, as well as his active participation in the complex historical and political processes that took place in Azerbaijan and beyond its borders in the early twentieth century.
