A photo album titled "Lachin International Airport" has been presented to the Presidential Library by Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL). The publication features photographs that depict the construction of the airport, its inauguration, and the ongoing development activities in the region.

Lachin International Airport is situated near the village of Gorchu, at an elevation of 1,700 meters above sea level, making it one of the highest airports in the post-Soviet space located in a mountainous region. This significant infrastructure project serves the social and economic development of Karabakh and East Zangazur, contributing to the integration of the country's international air transportation system.

The President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, has maintained focus on the construction of the airport and has been regularly updated on the progress. The head of state has visited the construction site multiple times, highlighting the project's strategic significance.

On May 28, 2025, the Lachin International Airport opened. The ceremony, attended by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, included the symbolic cutting of the opening ribbon and a tour of the modern infrastructure.

The photo album has been included in the Presidential Library collection. It is presented to readers as a valuable reference source documenting the construction and commissioning of the Lachin International Airport.
