The Presidential Library has prepared a virtual exhibition entitled “Academician Mammad Arif Dadashzade” dedicated to the rich scholarly and literary legacy of Mammad Arif Dadashzade, a prominent figure in twentieth-century Azerbaijani literary studies and literary criticism, and a distinguished literary scholar, translator, educator, prose writer, and academician. 

Mammad Arif Dadashzade made a significant contribution to the formation and development of Azerbaijani literary studies. He carried out important work in the study of the history of national literature, the scholarly analysis of literary processes, and the development of literary criticism. The scholar conducted substantial research into classical and modern Azerbaijani literature, providing scholarly interpretations of the social and aesthetic nature of literature and examining national and moral values. He also pursued scholarly and pedagogical activities for many years, making a significant contribution to the training of highly qualified academic personnel and playing an important role in the development of Azerbaijani philology. Mammad Arif was likewise actively engaged in the translation of outstanding works of world literature into Azerbaijani and rendered important services in making a number of renowned literary works accessible to Azerbaijani readers.

The virtual exhibition presents books, scholarly works, periodical publications, bibliographic sources, and other materials relating to the life and activities of Academician Mammad Arif Dadashzade, his scholarly and theoretical legacy, literary-critical views, and multifaceted creative work.
