





































In accordance with the relevant Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, August 26 is annually observed as Lachin City Day. This significant date holds considerable historical and political importance, marking August 26, 2022, as a crucial milestone in the return of Lachin City under Azerbaijan's full control and the restoration of the country's territorial integrity. For centuries, Lachin has been one of the most prominent regions of Azerbaijan, renowned for its rich history, national and cultural heritage, unique folklore, and natural beauty. Although the city's historical and cultural heritage suffered serious damage during the occupation, large-scale restoration and reconstruction work is now underway in Lachin, modern infrastructure is being built, and the Great Return of its native residents is being ensured in stages. The presented virtual exhibition features publications that reflect the rich history, cultural heritage, and breathtaking nature of the city of Lachin, its chronicle of occupation and liberation, as well as the restoration, reconstruction, and development projects carried out in the city. The objective of the exhibition is to familiarize readers with Lachin's historical development, its national and spiritual values, its present day, and its future development prospects, while showcasing the crucial place the city holds in the history of Azerbaijani statehood, the restoration of its territorial integrity, and our national memory.
