The digital project “Irevan City” sheds light on the history of Irevan from ancient times to the present, systematically revealing the composition of the city’s indigenous population, the time and origin of Armenian settlement in the area, and the repeated mass killings and deportations suffered by the Azerbaijani population of the city. The project also illuminates how material and cultural artifacts belonging to Azerbaijanis were eradicated by Armenian vandals, based on sources, chronicles, archival documents, and various research materials. Moreover, the project provides comprehensive and detailed information about Irevan as one of Azerbaijan’s ancient cultural centers, including its examples of craftsmanship, the Irevan theater, the press, as well as prominent figures in science and culture.
