This full-text electronic publication compiles materials on the multifaceted activities of Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva in her capacities as the First Lady of Azerbaijan, First Vice-President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation. The publication reflects her extensive contributions to the country’s public and political life, socio-cultural development, the promotion of Azerbaijani culture abroad, the preservation of tangible and intangible cultural heritage, as well as her charitable initiatives and humanitarian endeavors. The electronic publication includes selected Azerbaijani-language materials covering Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva’s activities from 1995—when she began her work as Head of the Friends of Azerbaijani Culture Foundation—to the present day. These materials have been drawn from AZERTAC, newspapers and journals subscribed to by the Presidential Library, and other mass media sources.
