A new book titled “Mirza Gadim Iravani: In the Light of Vivid Colors” by Nargiz Jabbarli, PhD in Philology and Associate Professor, has been added to the holdings of the Presidential Library.
The book covers the life path, artistic activity, historical and cultural environment that shaped him, as well as the works and scientific research conducted to date on Mirza Gadim Iravani, one of the prominent representatives of Azerbaijani visual arts. The publication analyzes previously published research and articles about the artist, summarizing and systematically presenting existing data and scientific conclusions.
For the first time, all known works of Mirza Gadim Iravani, along with their various iterations, have been systematically compiled in this book. Furthermore, information regarding works lost due to deportations or those acquired by world museums and private collections under alternative names has been examined on scientific grounds. The analyses are accompanied by presentations of the works and their fragments, enabling a clearer transmission of crucial artistic and stylistic details to the reader.
The texts, interviews, and research materials included in the publication are enriched with visual and multimedia content provided via QR codes. This feature expands the informational capacity of the publication, granting readers access to additional sources on the subject. The book is intended for researchers, art historians, students, and a broad audience interested in the history of Azerbaijani visual arts.
