A book collection reflecting the rich literary legacy of People’s Poet Gabil Imamverdiyev, one of the prominent representatives of Azerbaijani poetry, has been presented in the “Literary Heritage” subsection of the Presidential Library’s “Collections” section. 

The literary oeuvre of Gabil Imamverdiyev, who made a significant contribution to the development of national poetry in the second half of the 20th and early 21st centuries, is characterized by the poetic expression of socio-philosophical thought, an unwavering civic stance, and national memory.

The publications included in the collection encompass the poet’s rich body of lyric poetry, narrative poems, poetic cycles as well as his journalistic and literary-critical writings. Themes such as responsibility to the homeland and the people, national self-awareness, and the relationship between time and the individual occupy a prominent place in Gabil’s poetry. Of particular note in his literary legacy is his renowned poem “Nasimi”, dedicated to the personality and quest for truth of the great thinker Imadaddin Nasimi, along with his other historical and philosophical works.

The books and bibliographic publications presented in the collection constitute a valuable resource for specialists, researchers, and a broad readership interested in studying the thematic and ideological characteristics of Gabil’s poetry, its artistic language and principles of craftsmanship, as well as its connection with national and social thought.
