Elmira Huseyn gizi Akhundova, statesman of the Republic of Azerbaijan, famous prose writer, publicist, translator and literary critic, donated a rich collection of her own publications to the Presidential Library. These editions, published in different years in Azerbaijani, Russian and English languages, totalled 60 copies.
A significant part of the donated books is devoted to the life and political activity of the national leader Heydar Aliyev - the founder and architect of the independent modern Azerbaijan state. This series of works by Elmira Akhundova is an important research work based on documentary sources in publicistic style, deeply analysing the multifaceted state heritage of Heydar Aliyev. The publications are of special importance from the point of view of conveying the administrative experience of the Great Leader, his merits in state building and his social and political heritage to a wide audience.
This contribution is not only a significant event from the point of view of further enrichment of the Presidential Library's collection, but also creates additional opportunities for researchers, students and a wide range of readers working in the field of scientific research. Thanks to these publications, users of the Presidential Library will have an opportunity to learn, study and appreciate Heydar Aliyev's heritage more deeply.
