A new publication entitled “A Devotee of the Nation: In the Footsteps of the Legacy of Y.V. Chamanzaminli”, dedicated to the rich intellectual and literary heritage of Yusif Vazir Chamanzaminli, a prominent Azerbaijani writer, publicist, and public and state figure, has been added to the collection of the Presidential Library. The scientific editor of the book is Professor Nadir Mammadli, Doctor of Philological Sciences. The publication was compiled by Shalala Ana Hummatli, Chairperson of the “Makhaz” National Heritage Research Public Union and Doctor of Philosophy in Philology.

The publication brings together, for the first time in a single volume, nearly 100 recently discovered articles, feuilletons, and translations by the distinguished writer. It includes articles and feuilletons that were not incorporated into the three-volume editions of Yusif Vazir Chamanzaminli’s works, as well as texts that had been subject to various abridgements in previous publications. In this respect, the volume is of particular scholarly significance, as it facilitates the study and presentation of the writer’s journalistic legacy on the basis of previously unexplored facts and sources.

The book also contains selected statements and reflections by Yusif Vazir Chamanzaminli on important social and political, literary and aesthetic, as well as national and moral issues. In addition, the publication features photographs, photo facsimiles, and photocopies reflecting various periods of the writer’s life and creative path. These materials provide readers with a more comprehensive understanding not only of his rich intellectual and literary legacy but also of the different stages of his life.

“A Devotee of the Nation: In the Footsteps of the Legacy of Y.V. Chamanzaminli” is a valuable publication for the more comprehensive study of the creative heritage of one of the prominent representatives of Azerbaijani literature and for bringing to light journalistic works that have hitherto remained largely unknown to a broad readership. The inclusion of this new publication in the collection of the Presidential Library will provide researchers, literary scholars, and readers interested in the works of Yusif Vazir Chamanzaminli with access to this important scholarly source.
