Any researcher or expert seeking to study and assess various aspects of Azerbaijan's development must inevitably examine the essence of its state policy. In this regard, the key architect, initiator, and principal executor of these policies is President Ilham Aliyev. This makes the newly launched portal an invaluable resource, as it systematically documents all facets of the President's activities. Covering areas such as domestic and foreign policy, oil diplomacy, the non-oil sector, regional development, sports, culture, and education, the portal compiles all relevant materials in a structured, chronological order.

The electronic project
On December 25, 2017, the electronic project "Azerbaijan-UNESCO Relations" was presented to users at the Presidential Library.
The director of the library, Mayil Ahmadov, highlighted that 25 years have passed since Azerbaijan became a member of UNESCO. Although Azerbaijan joined the organization on July 3, 1992, the expansion of relations began after the national leader Heydar Aliyev returned to power in the second half of 1993. One of the most important steps in the development of Azerbaijan-UNESCO relations was taken during President Heydar Aliyev's official visit to the French Republic in December 1993, where he met with the Director-General of UNESCO Federico Mayor. During this meeting, issues related to the expansion of bilateral cooperation and its prospects were discussed, and a Memorandum of Understanding was signed.
The relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and UNESCO are closely linked to the activities of the First Vice President and President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Mehriban Aliyeva. After Mehriban Aliyeva was appointed as a Goodwill Ambassador of UNESCO on August 13, 2004, for her services in the preservation, study, and research of our country's rich culture, the relations between Azerbaijan and UNESCO began to develop more rapidly.

It is no coincidence that the first secular, democratic republic in the Muslim East was established in Azerbaijan a hundred years ago. Even during the Soviet era, when the state fought against all religious expressions with the most repressive methods, the Azerbaijani people kept their religious traditions and national-spiritual values alive.
Mayil Ahmadov further highlighted that the ongoing global processes indicate that the Muslim world now needs more unity and solidarity than ever before. He noted that the key objectives behind declaring 2017 as the "Year of Islamic Solidarity" in Azerbaijan and hosting the IV Islamic Solidarity Games in Baku were to strengthen the unity of the Muslim world and to demonstrate to the global community that Islam is a religion of peace and culture. In light of this, the staff of the Presidential Library developed the electronic project titled "Azerbaijan and the Islamic World."

A presentation has been held for the English and Russian language versions of the book discussing the Khanate of Iravan
On October 7, 2010, a presentation of recently published versions in the English and Russian languages of the book "Iravan Khanate: Russian Conquest and the Relocation of Armenians to the Lands of Northern Azerbaijan" took place at the Presidential Library, stemming from a joint project by the Institute of History named after A.A. Bakikhanov of ANAS and the Public Association "Regional Development".

The President of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan mentioned that the translation of the book into the English and Russian, which narrates the history of the Khanate of Iravan, a special place in the heroic chronicles of Azerbaijan, was carried out under the direct instructions of President Ilham Aliyev.
The corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences, the director of the Institute named after A.A. Bakikhanov, and a deputy of the Milli Majlis, Yagub Mahmudov, provided a detailed account of the historical significance of the publication and how it was created.
The scholar emphasized that valuable archival documents of our history, which have been distorted for a long time, were concealed from the Azerbaijani people. For a long time, Armenians resettled in the territory of the Iravan Khanate from the Ottoman Empire and Persia were presented to the world community as the indigenous population of that region. This is the most significant falsification of history. However, the Azerbaijani people do not forget the true history of the lands lost as a result of betrayal and historical injustice. The history of the Iravan Khanate is an integral part of a history rich in material and spiritual culture, created by the Azerbaijani people over millennia.
During the presentation, slides were used to showcase documents and drawings that exposed Armenian falsification and confirmed their resettlement on ancient Azerbaijani lands.
In conclusion, the President of the National Academy of Sciences, M. Karimov, presented a special gift to the director of the Presidential Library, M. Ahmadov – editions of the book in the Azerbaijani, Russian, and English languages.
